Who Is God?
God. An everlasting entity of countless titles: Creator, Savior, Father, King. Proclamations of “The Universe”, or “Mother Nature” are often assigned by people around the world. Individuals all over claim the creator as being no more than the atmosphere, neglecting the truth of His easily found presence. Though many identities are claimed for our creator, there is only one God. So, who is He?
God is a spirit that never changes.
Yesterday, today, and forever, God exists as a constant presence. He seeks to save us from this fallen world, heal us from suffering, and guide us to righteousness.
He is capable of changing our lives, arranging circumstances so that we can live in the fullness He intends for us. And unlike the shifting nature of this world, He does not change sides or suddenly become different. God remains steady, unshakable, and 100% accessible to those who seek Him.
God is our best friend.
A relationship with God is the highest form of self-care. He embodies unchanging devotion, already attuned to all of our needs before we even discover them for ourselves. He provides in ways beyond what we could ever imagine, in the most fantastical of ways.
Truly a friend from heaven, God sees us for who we are, what we are struggling with, and refuses to turn us away. He knows every detail that makes us, and still longs for companionship with us. If we seek a connection with Him, He responds with gladness, as a relationship with His creation is God’s delight.
God is the light of the world.
Light is truth. And truth, if accepted, has the power to change our lives by dismantling the suffering that we all inevitably go through. God is the solution to that suffering. The pain we face comes from the darkness of others’ behaviors, from unrighteousness, and from the imperfections of this world. But God contrasts that darkness—He is perfect, pure, and holy.
And He has the power to cleanse us as we emerge from that darkness, and create in us a new spirit. He wants us to flourish with Him and live eternally in His kingdom.
God is our path maker.
Struggles are inevitable, and failings are a necessary part of life. Yet God has the power to make a way through any circumstance. His strength is beyond limits, and His ability to provide far surpasses what we could ever imagine.
Where our own efforts fall short, God is already ahead of us. He sees the details we cannot, and He holds the wisdom to weave them together for our good. He has the power to open doors where none exist, to change hearts, to grant favor, and to supply blessings and strength for each new day. With Him, there is always a path forward.
God, the creator of the universe, made all of mankind and every fiber of what has ever existed.
He is a presence that is holy in nature, unchanging, and unable to produce lies.
He is the greatest force of extreme love, desiring to connect with us, His creations.
Through dreams, perfect circumstances, and amazing irony, God makes Himself known to us.
We do not always hear His call to us, unless our ears and eyes are tuned into His ways of connection.
We have scripture found in the Holy Bible, that teaches us the characteristics of God, so that we may recognize Him when He calls us.
And while God holds singly His identity, relationally, He has many roles:
A best friend. A righteous father. A constant presence in our lives. A compass into the best scenarios for us personally.
He is the light of the world, the one true living God, wonderful, holy, beautiful. And I promise you, your life will only get better when you have a relationship with our creator.
He is more than any fathom our minds could generate. He is our king. Our guidance to heaven. A life changer like no other.
God is Not Your Enemy
God is not your enemy;
He can be your friend.
He is not against you;
He is with you till the end.
Circumstances, He changes
To give you what you need.
He protects and He guides you,
He gives you the lead.
He knows just where you’re going,
He knows the right path.
Ask Him for direction,
And rest in peace at last.
Step in security — you will not fall.
He knows what’s best for you;
Now rest in that resolve.
He’s prepared a plan for you,
He gives it piece by piece.
Preparations for your heart,
He makes before you receive.
His gift — It is great,
He designed it with care.
Please receive it gladly,
For no one else is it for.
