It all started with a prayer.

One morning, I asked God for an additional source of income. He’s provided everything else in my life with stunning perfection, so I knew He would have the perfect solution for my request. All I had to do was ask Him for it.

In the Holy Bible, the book of Matthew, chapter 21 verse 22 states, “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”

As soon as I asked Him, my God answered me immediately. That night I had a dream:

I was in a craft store, browsing a wall of textured paint. An employee excitedly handed me a canvas & encouraged me to experiment with the paint. I immediately began painting a blue flower, adding in teal and other shades of blue. I was having a blast. A friend suggested that I buy the original paint I came to the store for, and not this new chunky paint. The employee however, enthusiastically declared that she could do 50% off the supplies, and that I could get started today!

I woke up wondering what I had just dreamed. I had never seen or heard of the art form I had dreamed about. I looked up the tool I was using, a palette knife, and after some research, I found impasto painting. And thus began my exciting new venture.
